: What is Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana?

Pradhan Mantri Suryoday Yojana or PM Suryoday Yojana 2024 is a national scheme started by the Prime Minister of Bharat, Mr.NARENDRA MODI on his return from Ram Mandir inauguration on 22 January 2024. By this project solar energy can be produce in the homes of the citizens of the country. In this yojana Solar Panels will be installed on the rooftops of millions of homes. So that they will produce electricity free of cost for them and also they will get relief on electricity bills and the government will also give subsidy for installing solar panels.

Any INDIAN national can apply.

1. Applicant must be Indian national by law.

2. Applicant’s annual income should be between 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh INR.

3. Applicant shouldn’t be a Government employee under any central or state body.

4. Enter information like your name, phone number, address, and aadhar number.

5. Upload all the necessary documents properly and press the submit button.

1. Ten million middle-class homes in the nation shall have rooftop solar panels on their homes so they can produce electricity on there own and become self sufficient on their electric consumption. All homes will have all day and night electricity, doesn’t matter in which remote part of the country they live.

2. This scheme may solve the upcoming problem of nationwide electricity.

3. Small homes will produce electricity which will consume by them and the extra produced electricity will transported to the electricity board which they will transferred to the needy place such as industry and other construction site, hospitals, other homes or societies etc.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has REC a Maharatna power finance company as the NODAL agency for the Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana scheme implementation. According to the budget documents, just Rs 4,555 crore has been allocated for the initiative this year, but this is simply an interim budget.

 

:Subsidy Amount for Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana?

 1. Rs 30,000 subsidy will be provided to households planting solar panels with capacities up to 2 kW.

2. Rs 18,000 subsidy will be provide for per kW for additional capacity up to 3 kW.

3. For more than 3 kW, the total subsidy is proposed at Rs 78,000.

The average monthly electricity usage of families determines the optimal capacity of a rooftop solar system. For example, 1 to 2 kW systems should be installed by families consuming 0 to 150 units per month, with subsidies ranging from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 60,000. Similar to this, homes with monthly consumption of 150–300 units can install 2–3 kW systems and receive subsidies ranging from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 78,000. It is recommended to install systems above 3 kW with a subsidy of Rs. 78,000 for houses that consume more than 300 units daily.
